Effects of Inhalants
Inhalants include chemical vapors that can be inhaled to produce psychoactive (mind-altering) effects. Aerosol sprays, cleaning fluids, glue, paint thinner, nail polish remover, white-out and gasoline are some common inhalants used to get high. People who use inhalants may experience slurred speech, lack of coordination, euphoria, and dizziness, lightheaded, hallucinations, and delusions. Continued use can cause confusion, nausea, or vomiting.
Call a drug rehabilitation center near you and speak to a counselor to see how you can help a person get off inhalants.
