Crack Withdrawal
Crack can be defined as a chemical by the name of Cocaine Hydrochloride. Some of the users remove the hydrochloride from the substance. It got its name from the cracking sound it is known to make when it is being heated and / or smoked. In most cases, a gram of cocaine will provide a user with 0.90 grams of crack.
A user will develop dependency after several dosages of this drug. It is known to be very addictive and takes a shorter time than alcohol and cigarettes to get addicted to.
A person addicted to crack will suffer from crack withdrawal when they try to stop using.
The first phase of crack withdrawal that a person suffers from will be the “come down phase”. The effects will be high levels of drug craving as well as depression and anger. This is the stage after the high from the drug has gone down. The second stage of crack withdrawal will be the return of the craving. The next stage will be the emotional augmentation. This will happen after about fourteen days to a month though it can last up to two years depending on the severity of the addiction. This will also lead to over-reacting on small issues.
These are the main stages that are associated with crack withdrawal and they can be more or less severe. The severity of the condition will be determined with the amount the person was using and also the frequency of usage. The more these amounts will be, the higher the severity that they will experience.
