Narcotics Affects
Narcotics are drugs that diminish a person’s perception, sensory and awareness lessening or removing pains completely. Their side effects are undesirable and can ruin anyone.
Most of the narcotics used are one way or another related to opium. Opium is an unripe seed that contains alkaloids, which has been found and identified. Hence, chemist has developed powerful drugs like narcotics out of opium. Some of the natural therapeutic compounds that have been derived from these alkaloids are Morphine, Papayerine and Codeine. Other synthetics narcotics drugs are Demerol, Dilaudid, Nisentil, Levorphanol, Dolophine, Prinadol, Leritine and Numorphan.
Most narcotics are developed out of opium. The effects are nevertheless different from one another. The difference actually lies in the potency of each drug created. Narcotics are highly addictive drugs.
The potency of narcotics vary from the type of drugs used, thus the degree of side effects can also be different, but most of the common effects are euphoria, anxiety, drowsiness, respiration, equanimity, and analgesia. Keep in mind, that the side effects can also be dangerous depending on the actual dosage of the drugs, thereby if a person uses a higher dose it can induce them into a deep sleep and then eventually affect their brain function if they do not stop. Sometimes, it can lead to death as well, when their respiratory succumbs to the effects of narcotics drugs.
Remember that all narcotics are potentially dangerous.
