What is Xanax?
Xanax is a central nervous system depressant.

What are the side effects of Xanax?

- In some cases depressed breathing may occur.
- In other cases depressed heart rate may result from use.

Xanax use may result in increased tolerance to the drug. This coupled with the use reward mechanism that diminishes reward sensations from other activities can contribute to the progress of addiction as well.
